The Queen of Heaven Sodalite Rosary
Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae. Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy.
You already call her Queen. Every Rosary ends with the words, whether or not we stop to hear them.
Sodalite is the deep, saturated blue of the night sky, veined through with white. In the workshops of Christendom the costliest blue a painter could grind was reserved for one thing only: the mantle of the Mother of God. This is that blue, and those veins of white are the crown of twelve stars, the woman clothed with the sun whom Saint John saw at the very end of Scripture.
In the Fifth Glorious Mystery she is crowned. But she is Queen for one reason, and she would be the first to say it: her Son is King. In the kingdom of David the throne beside the king belonged to his mother, and she used it to carry the petitions of the people to him. That is what she is still doing. The Church keeps her Queenship on the twenty second of August, in the shadow of her Assumption.
This rosary is for the one who has someone to pray for, and who knows exactly where to bring the request.
The Crown of Thorns: A Heritage of the Passion
In ancient Christian tradition, the resilient branches of the Jujube tree were woven into the Crown of Thorns placed upon Christ's head. For centuries, pilgrims journeying to the Holy Land have brought pieces of this heavy, durable wood back to their homes as physical reminders of His ultimate sacrifice. Every bead and centerpiece in this collection is carved from genuine Jujube wood, allowing you to hold a reflection of the Passion in your hands as you pray.
